Elaine G Fancy

I am a freelance commercial lifestyle Photographer based in Toronto, Ontario.

Starting back in 2004, in a small town in New Hampshire, I signed up for a film photography program at my high school while attending on a soccer scholarship. My mother FedEx’d me her old college Pentax K1000 35mm camera for my course and since then, never looked back.

Three years later, I moved to Toronto, the big city for college where I received my Diploma in Commercial Photography at Humber College, interned for multiple photographers and learnt my way around studios and started my commercial career working for the renowned Canadian brand Cirque Du Soleil as well as Toronto’s local athletic franchise MLSE working closely with the Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Raptors athletes on special event and campaigns.

In 2015 I started working closely with PR agencies that gave me the opportunity to expand my skills in many parts of the field, whether be lifestyle, commercial, product and even food photography.

Notable projects during this time include traveling to Congac, France to photograph the Louis XIII by Remy Martin Distillery. The American Express Collaboration with Gordon Ramsay, coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic, and various billboard prints in support of Small Business Shop Small campaign.

My time in Toronto is also shared photographing for a variety of commercial clients including American Express, Air Miles, Canadian Tire, Cadillac Fairview, Mercedes Benz, Sobey’s, Sportchek and many more.

One of my strong suits is I provide both the capture and digital compositing of images with great efficiency and ease. No matter the size of the budget, I am involved from the pre-production meeting all the way through post-production and delivery and manages the full creative team to lead it towards a roaring finish line in bringing my vision to life.
